Each map description below contains the [Gameplay Modes] & Mapsize. The unique feature of the Desert Conflict "Mapsize" functionality is the possibility of each map offering up to 3 variations that are suited for a certain number of players (16 players, 32 players and 64 players); where variations of the battlefield or playing field is small, medium, and large, respectively.
For example, if you choose a 16 player Mapsize, the size of the map will be small. For clarification purposes, selecting a 16 player Mapsize does not mean that only 16 players can play the map; up to 64 players can play on this map depending on how many players you've designated your server to accommodate.
Other contrasts between these Mapsize variations, other than the size, is the difference in the number and position of control points and the availability and number of certain vehicles. As a result, the strategy of each map is different depending on the Mapsize you select.
TIP: We've provided 2 sample Map Rotations within the Installation Guide. The "Full" Map Rotation contains every GameMode and Mapsize. Use the Full Map Rotation to add maps to your server, and then remove the maps you don't want. This is the quickest way to ensure that you are running the correct Gamemode and Mapsize for each map.

Desert Combat Remakes
These maps are based upon maps found in the Battlefield 1942 Mod, Desert Combat. These maps have been remade from scratch.

- Conquest Day 2 (64): Choppers and AC-130 (no jets).
- Conquest Day 3 (16): No air vehicles; tank and ground intensive (extra tanks).

- SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Conquest (16): Slightly smaller than Conquest (32), the back road is outside the combat area.
- Conquest (32): Full size.
- Conquest (16) & (32): The "Shoreline" flag cannot be held by the Coalition forces. Only Opposition forces can hold the flag. Additionally, once Opposition forces hold the flag, Coalition forces cannot recapture it.
